Easter in Pisa

Easter in Pisa

Easter and Easter Monday are an excellent opportunity to visit Pisa: usually the weather is good but not yet too hot and Pisa offers many possibilities for those who want to make guided tours and outdoor excursions.

Here are some ideas to spend Easter Sunday and Monday in Pisa:

  • Walking tour of the historic center: a walk of Corso Italy, Borgo Stretto, Piazza Cavalieri and above all, Piazza del Duomo with the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A good idea is to organize a guided tour or a carriage ride along the Arno River, which always has its charm.

  • Visit to Palazzo Blu and other museums of Pisa: if you prefer exhibits, why not check the calendar of Palazzo Blu, one of the most prestigious venues in Pisa, where every year they organize exhibitions of modern or contemporary artists. Moreover, on Easter the city organizes special openings at the Museum of graphics, the Royal Palace Museum and the Museum of San Matteo.

  • San Rossore Park: a few minutes from the center of Pisa is located San Rossore, the beautiful park that once was the private estate of the Medici and that reaches the sea. Today this is a natural reserve where you can stroll along beautiful routes. For Easter usually there are guided tours, both on foot and with the train or by boat.
